Client & Server Compatibility Guide
AudBase client releases must match your facility's AudBase server build family to successfully establish database communication.
The Build Series Matching Rule
Workstations run the client software, which communicates with your central AudBase server. The build series (e.g. .48) must match between client and server.
✓ Compatible Connections
- An AudBase Server running 3.0.018.48 connects with any .48 client release (e.g.
3.0.018.48a,3.0.018.48b, or3.0.018.48d). - Letter suffixes (a, b, c, d) represent workstation client revisions and remain fully compatible with that server series.
× Incompatible Mismatches
- An AudBase client running 3.0.018.36 will not connect to a 3.0.018.48 server.
- If your facility is currently on an earlier server release, installing a .48 client will cause connection errors.
How to Check Your Version
Open AudBase on any existing clinic workstation. Check the lower status bar or select Help → About AudBase to view your current build number (e.g. 3.0.018.48).
Need an Earlier Client Build?
If your clinic runs an earlier branch (such as .36 or .45), older builds are archived in our Support Repository, or you can open a support ticket.
Note for IT / Server Deployments: Most facilities only require the workstation client installer. Central AudBase server builds require an active support agreement and license to operate beyond evaluation mode (limited to 25 records). Server installation media and hardware drivers are accessible in the Support Repository or via Support Ticket.

Windows 10 (21H2+) or Windows 11 (64-bit). Pro or Enterprise recommended for domain-joined clinic environments.

Intel Core i5 / AMD Ryzen 5 processor or better, 8 GB RAM (16 GB recommended), 1 GB available storage for software.
Instrument I/O
Dedicated USB 2.0/3.0 or RS-232 serial ports for audiometer, tympanometer, and OAE hardware interfaces.
Runtimes & Network
Microsoft .NET Framework 4.8+, Visual C++ Redistributable, and LAN connectivity to AudBase Server / SQL DB.

Download Package
Download the installer package above. Optionally verify the SHA-256 cryptographic hash to ensure byte-perfect integrity.
Run Installation
Right-click the executable and select Run as administrator. Follow the installation wizard to complete setup.
Connect & Test
Launch AudBase, configure the central database IP or hostname, and verify instrument communication drivers.
